Why I would be great for your school or library?
Why get just an author when you can get an author AND an illustrator?! Two for one. That's a pretty good deal.
Ever see an author charging $2,000 for their visit? Yeah, me too.
That's why I don't charge that. What school has that money? It shouldn't break the budget to give your students an opportunity to meet an author.
How many other author/illustrators have sent you an e-mail? NONE.

I have been drawing and writing since I was 6 years old. Seriously. In fact, there were times that I have done over 3,000 drawings in single year!
Author visits should not end when the
author leaves. With downloads, videos, monster profiles and
publishing info, my website offers fun and education beyond
my visit.
My middle name is Jude for a reason, so I donate $1 from every book I sell to St. Jude Children's Hospital. That way I write books, kids buy books, and some of the money helps other kids get healthy!
While the books normally retail for $15.95, every book sold at a
school visit is seriously discounted for students! That's less money for me, but more affordable books for a larger number of kids.
